We are going up to Jerusalem on Purim
We are going up to Jerusalem on Purim. Many Israeli’s are in costumes celebrating the delverance of the Jews over Haman’s wicked plot. Ironic that like then, even now, 2500 years later, a Persian ruler still attempts to wipe Israel off the map. But he like then will be unsucessful for He who touches Israel touches the apple of His eye. It’s raining in Jerusalem and record flash floods...

Little time of worship today waiting news of then adjusted itinerary plan as a result of record rains and flash floods in Dead Sea area. He knows!!

Had an opportunity to cast a picture as we met in the hotel of the various Biblical passages surrounding this Dead Sea area. Gen 13 with Abraham giving Lot the choice and he chooses the area of Sodom and Gommorah, only to see His choice go up in smoke due to the sin of this once lush area. And picturing David running from Saul having to sed his family to Moab for protection. Remembering Ruth,...

You can see from atop Tel Bet-Shean how strategic this spot is for the ancient control of world trade and travel as it guards the eastern entrance to Jezreel Valley as Megiddo guards western side

Haiti - Hope Rising from the Rubble! →
A couple people back at CCOB mentioned that they enjoyed “Hope Rising from the Rubble Part 4” and were sorry they missed the first three interviews. Here’s a link to the archives at BridgeFM where you can access all of the conversations between Brian Rechten and returning Haiti team members.

Another amazing day in Israel! Megiddo - Napoleon said it is the perfect battlefield. A retired general from the US army called it the ideal place to fight a war. After overlooking the Valley of Megiddo yesterday, it was a special time to have Pastor Chuck share today with the group the Valley’s future significance. Just think - this is the site where that final battle will take place!

Haiti - Hope Rising from the Rubble! Part 4 →
While I am in Israel, ministry continues throughout Haiti.  More updates about what the Lord is doing in Haiti will follow later today and throughout the week. In the meantime, I thought I’d post a link to a recent BridgeFM interview with Mike Bowen, a former member of our fellowship, who was in Haiti recently with men from CCOB, Cornerstone CC, and his current church in Colorado,...

Overlooking Nazareth, Mount Gilboa, Mount Tabor, sights Jesus would have grown up with. The wind was howling on the top of the cliff.  Jesus would have grown up seeing this view, perhaps out on the ridge meditating at times. Imagine all the stories in the Bible from Deborah & Barak in Judges 4 around Mount Tabor or Saul and Jonathan in 1 Sam 31 when they fell slain on Mt Gilboa. The Bible...

MINISTRY IN PORT-AU-PRINCE
A team of three CC pastors & leaders flew into Santo Domingo (DR) yesterday and are currently en route to the compound set up by CC P-a-P outside the city.  Their goal is (a) to secure tents that we shipped from (and with the help of) CC Melbourne and get them to CC P-a-P (b) to bring in medical supplies carried from the US and purchased in the DR, and (c) to come alongside CC P-a-P’s...

Thoughts on Haiti by a team member from Calvary...
As our team makes their way to CC P-a-P this AM, a number of folks have asked about the status of ministry in Jacmel.   We are prayerfully anticipating sending teams on a regular basis starting later this month once a basecamp is established.  Jacmel is a deep water port with a working airport, so it is strategically located not only for ministry to the immediate community but for outreach to...

From the beginning of our ministry in Haiti three weeks ago, we have been blessed to co-labor with CC Delta (PA). Here’s a portion of a recent report from their pastor (edited for security). Please pray for the people of Haiti, and for our own team on the ground there even now: Beginning soon after the earthquake, our ministry team in Barahona, Dominican Republic, began hosting teams...

New Haiti Update!
A small leadership team from CCOB and CC Kearny landed in the DR earlier today and are currently en route to Barahona.  Tomorrow (Lord willing) they will be continuing on to Haiti and coming alongside CC Port-au-Prince.  Please pray for a large quantity of tents manufactured specifically for disaster relief scenarios and earmarked for CC P-a-P that will be airlifted from Florida tomorrow —...
