What is your concept of heaven or hell?

A local East Brunswick paper recently posted the question, “What is your concept of heaven or hell?”  Several members of our fellowship had their answers published, so I thought I’d share some of those answers here:

Where comes the concept of Heaven and Hell?
Apart from GOD’s Word, who knows, pray tell?
Opinions may come from all over the world,
How do we decipher which wisdom is pearl?
Throughout History, (HIS Story) the great debate;
If we’re good or bad? Does that change our fate?
If I tell of the hereafter, what difference would it make?
There is a GOD in Heaven, make no mistake!
All the answers are in HIS Book,
Ask the CREATOR, come take a look.
#1 bestseller throughout the centuries,
Open the Bible, see its great & awesome mysteries!
GOD says it’s simple, in ME put your trust.
Heaven is real, to get there, faith in GOD! a must.
We choose daily what to do and believe,
Choose the wisdom of GOD and you will not be deceived.

Mikki Fischer, Parlin

My opinion of heaven and hell is that it’s not an opinion, it’s a FACT: heaven and hell are both real and they exist. The holy Bible is replete with references to Heaven and Hell. As a fellow sinner (we are ALL sinners in God’s eyes), we all have to choose between Heaven and Hell, smoking or non-smoking (LOL). Where will YOU spend eternity? I pray you choose our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ — your ticket to Heaven! God bless.

My concept comes from what the Bible tells me of the two places.

Heaven is everything perfect and beautiful, but most important it is everything that is Truth and Life and Light for that is where God reigns in His three persons: The Father, The Son-Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

The Truth, The Life and The Light are other names for Jesus. A place where there is no deceit, errors, false assumptions or misunderstandings. A place where there is no death, weakness, wounds, broken hearts, sorrow, or despair. A place where there is no darkness, sinful behavior, hate, fury, violence, abuse and fear. Love abounds for God is love, and we are made perfect and in His image there.

Hell was not made for man but is a place for evil. When man chooses notto want God, then he is choosing to reside in evil. There is deception, death, and darkness residing in hell. No light or love can be presentthere for God is not in that place. It is a place the Bible states isof outer darkness, unquenchable thirst, and pain. The worst thing isthat it is eternal as well, a never-ending separation from love. Hellhas no hope, no salvation, and total despair.  That is why everyonemust choose is Jesus Lord or Liar, for their life depends on it.
