From one of our team members returning from Haiti today — sent night of 1/27/10:
Just wanted to thank everyone who has been praying for the ministry here —
we have felt your prayers. God has opened many amazing and effective doors
for the gospel. What a blessing to have been a small part of what He is doing
in Haiti this week, and also to see the body of Christ working together in
unity as they have been ministering in this country.
The conditions are beyond anything we could have ever imagined. The
sights… the smells… the human need… it’s tremendous. Honestly
you would not believe the things we have seen… but the light of
Christ is shining brightly in the midst of all that darkness. We are
meeting Christians everywhere we go, and we have had many opportunities
every day not only to help with the physical needs of the people, but to
share God’s Word and the gospel of Jesus Christ with them as well.
Awesome!!!
Please pray as two of us fly home tomorrow (Thursday) and also for all those who are remaining in
Haiti. Pray that the work that is being done down here will continue, and
especially pray for the people of Haiti and the DR too, who are in such
desperate need both physically and spiritually.
“Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of
these My brethren, you did it to Me” (Mt. 25:40).
